Implementing Community Forestry in Indonesia: the Tale of Two Villages Image
Abstrak

Community forest policy including the provision of property rights is proven to have different impacts on the local communities around and within the forest. The success of the forest management depends on various factors such as communities' perception of the ecotourism, their management capacity and their relationship with the local authority.

It can be seen in the case study entitled “The Property Rights and Deforestation in Indonesia: Implementing Community Forestry in Indonesia” comparing two villages in Wonosobo, Central Java.

It is one of the six case studies from around the world on advancing and securing property rights released on 10 August 2016 along with the International Property Index (IPRI).
